1031 Exchanges

IRS Code Section 1031 allows for tax deferral of certain property “exchanges.” Rules are complex, but could be a HUGE wealth building technique for rental property/investment property owners. If you are new to owning investment property, this may be something to consider down the road. But learning about it now can help shape how you plan your investment property purchases and sales. So, a good book on learning the ins and outs of Exchanges, should be a part of every rental property owner’s library.
